Meditation is a state of consciousness, a way of being, not doing. When we are in a state of meditation the mind is calm, peaceful but aware of itself.
The practice of meditation is a way of training the mind to settle, to slow down and eventually to experience this state of thoughtless awareness.
Meditation is a core component of the StillPoint’s corporate wellbeing program. Spending even a few short moments in stillness can have a profound effect on physical and mental health. Studies show that the practice of meditation helps reduce blood pressure, levels of stress, anxiety and the incidence of depression. It is also shown to improve immune function, help manage pain, increase concentration, focus and memory.
The StillPoint offers breath awareness, mantra and sound meditation, plus guided visualisations and relaxations as part of the corporate meditation program.
The StillPoint teaches meditation classes predominantly in Sydney, with clients in North Sydney, Sydney CBD, St Leonards, Cromer and Mosman. However, is also available to teach interstate and at conferences outside of Sydney.
